David Thomas Broughton hails from Otley Leeds, and currently lives in Japan. He's in the UK to play the sold out End Of The Road Festival, with a few other carefully selected dates along the way, including a sold-out show in London and another in Bergen Norway. With Eagescliffe being the London of the North, expect his Waiting Room to sell out soon - and here's for why: DTB has a dedicated cult following of fans who get his off-kilter avant-folk Chamber jazz, that is filled with improvised notes, tics and tangents - but which at its heart is characterised by beautiful, operatically mournful singing and laments that are spiced with gorgeously understated humour.
